Which router do I need?
One device, one connection: RUT241
For a single kiosk, sensor gateway, ATM or camera that just needs to get online, the RUT241 is the smallest and cheapest option. It has one SIM slot, one WAN and one LAN port. Resilient Tec sells the Teltonika RUT241 (RUT241098000), a compact single-SIM 4G LTE Cat 4 router, for $237.00.
Backup internet for an office or site: RUT951
The RUT951 takes two SIMs and fails over between them automatically, so one carrier outage doesn't take the site down. It is the usual choice to sit behind a wired connection as a backup WAN. Resilient Tec sells the Teltonika RUT951 (RUT951A00800), a dual-SIM 4G LTE Cat 4 router with 4 Ethernet ports, for $294.00.
Vehicles, fleets and industrial equipment: RUT956
The RUT956 is a RUT951 with GPS, RS232/RS485 serial and digital inputs and outputs. That makes it the fit for fleet tracking (it is supported by GPS tracking platforms such as GpsGate) and for connecting PLCs, meters and other serial equipment. Resilient Tec sells the Teltonika RUT956 (RUT956A00A00), a dual-SIM 4G LTE router with GPS, RS232/RS485 and digital I/O, for $327.00.
Faster LTE and Gigabit LAN: RUTX11
The RUTX11 steps up to LTE Cat 6, Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi 5. Choose it when the LAN side carries real traffic or you need more than 150 Mbps from LTE. Resilient Tec sells the Teltonika RUTX11 (RUTX11300400), a dual-SIM LTE Cat 6 router with Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi 5, for $474.00.
5G: RUTM50
The RUTM50 is Teltonika's 5G router for North America, supporting both SA and NSA 5G with 4G fallback, dual SIM and five Gigabit ports. Teltonika announced Verizon certification, T-Mobile lists it in its business IoT device catalog, and AT&T has approved it for FirstNet. Resilient Tec sells the Teltonika RUTM50 (RUTM50000000), a dual-SIM 5G router for North America, for $702.00.
Replacing an older Teltonika router
| If you have | The current model is | Price at Resilient Tec |
|---|---|---|
| RUT240 | RUT241 | $237.00 |
| RUT950 | RUT951 | $294.00 |
| RUT955 | RUT956 | $327.00 |
The newer models run Teltonika's current RutOS firmware and are managed in the same RMS cloud platform. Check port speeds, antenna connectors and any serial or I/O wiring against your existing install before swapping. If you're unsure, send us your current model and setup and we'll confirm the match.
Starlink with cellular backup
Any of these routers can sit in front of Starlink: plug the dish into the WAN port and let the SIM take over when Starlink drops. Teltonika publishes a dedicated Starlink failover guide. The common problem is the router flipping back and forth on short Starlink dropouts, so tune the failover health checks rather than using the defaults. For a single-SIM setup the RUT241 ($237.00) works; for two carriers behind Starlink, use the RUT951 ($294.00) or RUTX11 ($474.00).
Teltonika managed switches compared
| Model | Price at Resilient Tec | Ports | PoE | SFP | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SWM281 | $237.00 | 24 × Gigabit | None | 4 | Uplink and access where nothing needs power |
| SWM280 | $370.00 | 24 × Gigabit | 12 × PoE+, 300 W | 4 | Mixed: cameras/APs on half the ports |
| SWM282 | $389.00 | 24 × Gigabit | 24 × PoE+, 300 W | 4 | Every port can power a device |
All three are L2 managed switches with L3 routing features, VLANs, 802.1X, PROFINET support by order code, and management from the same RMS platform as the routers. Resilient Tec sells the Teltonika SWM282 (SWM282), a 24-port PoE+ managed switch with 4 SFP and a 300 W budget, for $389.00. Prices checked October 26, 2026.
