MCP1650-V001E30 QSFP/CX7 Cable — 200G QSFP56 Passive DAC, 1m – NVIDIA DGX Spark Compatible
Warranty: Lifetime
EEPROM coded for NVIDIA / Mellanox ConnectX-7
NVIDIA DGX Spark compatible — 200G QSFP56 passive DAC cable, 1 m
→ DGX Spark interconnect reference — approved part numbers, real-world throughput, and what to buy at two, three and four or more nodes.
Part Number: MCP1650-V001E30 (NVIDIA / Mellanox equivalent)
Description: QSFP56 Passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cable, 200G-rated, 1 m (3.3 ft)
The MCP1650-V001E30 is the 1 m version of our MCP1650-V00AE30 DGX Spark cable: the same QSFP56 connectors, the same 200GbE Ethernet coding and the same ConnectX-7 compatibility, with more reach. One metre gives you slack for stacked or side-by-side units, room to cable a three- or four-unit ring without strain, or a short run to a switch directly above or below.
Each ConnectX-7 QSFP port on the DGX Spark operates at up to 200 Gb/s, which this 200G cable matches exactly. Because the NVIDIA GB10 reference design is shared across the ecosystem, the same cable also works on the OEM GB10 systems, including the Dell Pro Max with GB10, HP ZGX Nano AI Station and ASUS Ascent GX10.

How Many Units Can You Connect?
- 2 units: one cable, port to port. No switch.
- 3 units: three cables in a ring, using both QSFP ports on every unit. Still no switch.
- 4 units, no switch: four cables in a ring. It works, but it needs a custom NCCL topology and NVIDIA does not support it. How it's done →
- 4 or more units with a switch: the supported route. One cable per unit into a QSFP-DD switch port, with each port pinned to 200G.
Choose Your Length
| Length | Part number | Gauge | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.5 m | MCP1650-V00AE30 | 30 AWG | Two units side by side |
| 1 m | MCP1650-V001E30 (this cable) | 30 AWG | Rings, stacked units, adjacent switch |
| 1.5 m | MCP1650-V01AE30 | 30 AWG | Top-of-rack switch, a few units away |
| 2 m | MCP1650-V002E26 | 26 AWG | Desk or shelf to switch, half-rack runs |
| 3 m | MCP1650-V003E26 | 26 AWG | Full-rack runs, longest passive reach |
Good to Know
- No transceivers or adapters required, and no switch for two or three units
- The ConnectX-7 QSFP ports operate in Ethernet mode (with RoCE), not InfiniBand
- On a switch, set each connected port to 200G manually. Left on auto-negotiate, links commonly settle at 50G
- Works across the GB10 ecosystem, which shares the same ConnectX-7 200GbE networking
- The physical location and labeling of the ConnectX-7 port can differ by chassis, so confirm the port location in your vendor manual before cabling
Quick Checklist — Is This the Right Cable?
You have two or more NVIDIA DGX Spark systems (or GB10-based equivalents). You want to link them through their ConnectX-7 QSFP ports, either directly or through a switch. You need more reach than a 0.5 m cable gives you, and you want a passive 200G QSFP56 copper cable that runs at the full 200 Gb/s the port supports.
