Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between slim 28 AWG and standard 24 AWG Cat6?
Slim Cat6 uses thinner 28 AWG conductors, so the cable is about 60% smaller in diameter. That frees up airflow and space in dense racks and patch panels. Thinner conductors have higher resistance, so slim cables are made for patch-cord lengths, not long in-wall runs.
Does slim Cat6 support PoE?
Yes. It supports PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at Type 2) for devices such as IP phones, access points and cameras.
Why use different colors?
Color-coding by function (for example uplinks, servers, management, PoE devices) makes racks faster to trace and troubleshoot.
What warranty and shipping come with it?
Resilient Tec's lifetime warranty. US standard shipping is free with no minimum, and orders typically arrive in 3 to 5 days.
