This is a genuine NVIDIA/Mellanox bracket that was taken off a new card and never installed.

Quick answer: MCX516A-BRACKET-LOW is the genuine low-profile (half-height) PCIe bracket for the NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-5 MCX516A dual-port QSFP28 adapter. It lets you fit the card in a 1U or low-profile server slot, which the full-height bracket doesn't fit.

The MCX516A-CCAT usually ships with the full-height bracket installed, and the short bracket often goes missing when cards are resold or moved between servers. This is the OEM low-profile bracket with dual QSFP28 cutouts, so the port cages line up and the card sits correctly in a half-height slot.

Compatible with

NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-5 MCX516A-CCAT (100GbE, dual-port QSFP28, PCIe 3.0 x16)

NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-5 MCX516A-CDAT (100GbE, dual-port QSFP28, PCIe 4.0 x16)

NVIDIA Mellanox ConnectX-5 MCX516A-GCAT (50GbE, dual-port QSFP28)

Details

Genuine NVIDIA/Mellanox part, new pull

Low-profile (half-height) PCIe form factor

Dual QSFP28 port cutouts

Bracket only.
